View from Scout Lookout

Scout Lookout is about 1100 feet above the valley floor, halfway up to the west rim. You get there by taking the trail through Refrigerator Canyon and up Walter's Wiggles (a series of 21 switchbacks). The trail forks at Scout Lookout. The right fork continues up to Angel's Landing, 500 feet above. The left leads to the west rim.

The Organ formation is illuminated by sunlight streaming in through Echo Canyon. The north fork of the Virgin River curves around the Organ at Big Bend below. You can also see the main park road.
