Cottonwood Pass

Cottonwood Pass, CO July 5, 2002.

At 12,126 feet, Cottonwood Pass is a bit higher than Cumberland, but the road up was considerably better. The pavement starts right before the summit, as you can see in this photo. This road also had a lot more traffic. It was smooth sailing from there to Buena Vista (using the paved road).
