Mt. Shasta and Panther Meadow

Mt. Shasta as viewed from Panther Meadow, near the trailhead. Although not really visible, there are many wildflowers in Panther Meadow. Panther Meadow is recovering from long abuse. Too many feet had once destroyed much of the meadow. Now there are signs explaining why they don't want people walking about in the meadow. For the most part, this educational approach has worked, and the meadow is returning.
